Don | damaral@tnb.com | Thanks, I'm putting Redline MTL in my notchy shifting '97. It's nice to see photos. Don |
Kevin | kjmcloughlin@yahoo.com | Spectacular ACTION shot! |
Bill Brown | webrown@worldnet.att.net | I intend to change my transmission oil in my 96 at some point this winter. I will be back to check out the pics again since I am a novice. It is always good to see pics. Thank you for the pics! |
John Perodeau | john.perodeau@eds.com | Nice work! On both the process and the photos. Can I assume you used the Nikon 950? |
George | gdickey@iee.org | Good to see someone not assuming that everyone else is an expert. The photos are very clear. I wish I had saw this site last week, the pump is an obvious, simple solution and would have saved me from drinking as much oil as I got in the gearbox :) |
Mark Buran | mburan@hotmail.com | Great work, as usual Gary! It's nice to know that someone is this helpful for people he doesn't even know. You should get paid for doing this! Gary for head of technical publications at Miata.net!!! |
Joe | biro@icom.ca | Thanx for the great lay-out! Now I feel better about tackling the tranny/dif oil change. |
Scott MacLean | smaclean@nwds.com | I second Mark's nomination. You should be paid to do it because I know it takes longer to do the job AND take the pictures. Thanks, Scott p.s. When are you installing a rollbar? Hint. Hint. |
chris klee | ckleerun-at-hotmail-dot-com | Very helpful stuff... you could probably move this section (heck, all of it) to a standalone (non-photopoint) site and recruit some miata.net banner advertisers -- supplement your Miata income! And WHERE did you get the pump? I tried K-mart and Pep Boys and found nothing similar. Is it in garden, automotive, cleansers, or cosmetics? |
Dave | im-innocent@home.com | Fantastic site, if every thing was as well explained as you make it there would be a lot less mistakes. Once again thanks for taking the time to explain each step. |
Belinda | bjohnson@gardere.com | Gary - thanks for the great pictures. I did the tranny, diff. and turet change (with Redline) in my '90. Definitely got rid of the notchy shifting. Thanks for taking the time to care and share. |
Jack Wong | jackelwong@hotmail.com | Great layout. Very useful when I did replaced all the fluids and boots in my car. Thanks |
Mike Harrigfeld | michael.harrigfeld@capmark.funb.com | Gary, Extremely helpful site. I have it bookmarked so I can use it as a reference when I work on my car. I now will be able to perform all of my routine maintenance on my own without having to pay a dealer a huge chunk of change. Way to go! -- Mike P.S. - Fos us novices, could you take a few shots of where exactly to jack from and where to put the jackstands. I think that would be a good and simple addition to your site. |
Dave Lynch | dlynch@attcanada.net | Wow! we have a torn boot in our '92. I've been hesitant to start the repair because one of our Club members said the dealer took 3 tries to get the right lower boot in... I want to fill the tranny and turret with Redline. Sometimes it's hard to find special products in Ontario, Canada. Do you know of any similar instructions for the 6-speed tranny? We have a 10AE and I've improved shifting, but I'm convinced that it could be better. Any hints? Thanks for your work, it's exceptional! Dave TrilliumWest Miata Club and others ;-) |
Richard | richard.ashton@nocharge.zzn.com | Gary, You are to be commended for such an excellent site. I'm surprised that Miata.net don't have multiple links to your site. Excellent photos and notes - makes it so simple even I could/will do it. Top Job Miata Guy!!!! Keep up the good work!!! Cheers Richard |
Bobby McGee | mcgeebobby@hotmail.com | Two thumbs way up on your site. I agree with the general consensus, however, that you should open up a non-photopoint site and receive some sort of monetary retribution for your contributions to us "newbies". Please keep up the excellent work! |
