Replacement Headrest Speakers for early Mazda Miata.
These are a simple swap-out for the OEM speakers. The YouTube video shows how quick and easy it was to do. Takes less than 30 minutes to complete both sides.
These replacements are far superior to the stock speakers. More efficient, wider bandwidth, and super-easy to install.

Headrest speakers
Installed in Miata 3 months ago.
I replaced the OEM radio with a Sony unit, replaced the door speakers with Lightning units from Wal-Mart (excellant) and replaced the headrest speakers with the Millinium 5 units. They came with high pass filters (capacitors) which mimic what I suspect the OEM radio had in its headrest output and they fit perfectly in place of the OEM units. The instructions and info sheet that come with the product is excellant in my opinion, making no false claims. My speakers are now usable with a higher power capability and are now a good supplement to the door speakers. The Sony radio, Wal-Mart Lightning speakers and these headrest speakers are in a large part responsible for me keeping my 92 a while longer before getting a newer one.

Replacement drop-in drivers for your existing headrest speakers in your NA
These drivers replace the OEM units simply by swapping out the old and putting in the new. I just pryed the old drivers out of their enclosures and plugged the existing wires to the new ones, made sure of the polarity, and screwed everything back in. There is a marked improvement in power and sound quality when i compared the two speakers "ear-to-ear." More warmth, fuller range, and more audible in general. Best of all, no need to dig-out any foam.
The drivers came within four days and included instructions on how to install them, tips on optimizing the sounds, and frequency response chart, which are all online to the questioning buyer. I took a bit longer to install them just to make sure everything was working perfectly, but I'm sure someone more experienced can do the job in 20 minutes. I'm surprised there isn't a review here yet.
