Klasse VRLP (Vinyl, Rubber, Leather Protectant)

[4/24/2005] Reviewed by: Beastie

This is a cleaner and protectant for vinyl, leather, rubber. As a cleaner, this product is outstanding. It can clean a lot of grime that other respected cleaners leave behind. It is also an outstanding restorer of faded dashes. I have an OTM that had a brown ashtray when it should have been black. VRLP restored it to its original color after 2 treatments and stayed that way. It outperformed 303, Vinylex and NXT Tech Protectant in this area. Another positive trait is that it doesn't attract dust. It neutralized any electrostatic charges on dash surfaces so dust doesn't get attracted. The finish it provides is very low sheen, even lower than 303. It is almost flat looking. It can also be used for tires. Again, it will give the tires a low sheen black appearance. It is pretty durable too. Also works very well on plastic trim.

Klasse Sealant Glaze

An acrylic formula designed to protect the paint. It is used with its companion, Klasse All-In-One, to seal the paint and provide additional gloss.

The results I have are excellent. I have tried a few waxes and sealants that are well-known, and SG (Sealant Glaze) provides the most gloss on my car. I get unbelievable reflections from my hood when driving. It is show-car good! Polymer products have been accused of providing a "plasticky" finish but SG manages to avoid that despite its shine. The paint surface has to be well-prepped (wash, claybar, polish, AIO) to get the same results. SG will reveal half-hearted efforts at prepping the paint.

Klasse Sealant Glaze is highly recommended for those with the patience to polish the paint to (near) perfection. Klasse AIO must precede SG to allow SG to stick to the paint. Follow the application instructions to the letter and the process will go smoothly and easily. The result is the glossiest paint (yep, glossier than a Zainoed 10AE I've seen up close) I've seen on a car. You can tweak the appearance by topping it with a carnauba wax. SG works well with Souveran paste and S100 paste waxes. SG is one of the most durable paint protection products. It works with both dark and light colors.

This is an acrylic-based combination product that polishes and seals the paint. It is touted as being able to last 6 months. It removes films, old wax and minor oxidation. Bonds to the paint and gives it a really good shine with depth.

This product is very simple to use. I spray a microfiber applicator with Eagle One Wipe N' Shine detailing spray just to dampen it. Little product is needed to to the job. It seems to reduce minor swirls when applied in a back and forth motion. Follow soon with a microfiber towel to wipe it off. Do the car in sections. Done.

The final product is a very shiny car with very good depth to the finish. It beads water like nothing I've seen. It limits water spot damage. It seems to make cleanups using detailing sprays very easy. The kicker is that it lasts and it takes layering with wax very well. I top mine with Souveran paste and it is magnificent. Highly recommended.
