Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo

"Tuff Suds" lasts and lasts and lasts. This is a shampoo for those who derive pleasure from the smell, the luxurious suds, the way the wash mitt glides over the curves of your Miata. This is not an Irish Spring-kind of shower soap. This is a Victoria's Secret sensual bath for cars. And you pay for it at $18 for a 16 oz. bottle. If you are photographing bikini-clad girls washing cars, make sure you have this super sudsy wash.

Despite the luxurious aspects of this product, I use it sparingly because of its price and because it seems to remove wax. It does clean well but I don't think it's much better than store bought Meguiar's, Eagle One or Mother's washes in cleaning ability. All in all, it is a pampering type of product, both for the owner and the car but be prepared to lay on a layer of wax when you're done.

Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

Descrition I copied from Autopia reviews: Unlock the hidden beauty of your car's finish Think of this as an anti-aging cream for your car's paint. Applied prior to waxing, Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion will restore and preserve your car's original beauty. Paintwork Cleansing Lotion uses a combination of gloss-enhancing oils and micro-fine fillers to polish your car without abrasives. Simply wipe it on, allow a haze to form, and buff gently. Minor swirls and surface imperfections disappear like magic. Your car's finish will emerge bright and clean, ready for your favorite wax or protectant. This is a mild polish best suited for newer vehicles or vehicles with good paint condition. It is designed to safely take off old wax, embedded road grime and pollution that washing will not remove. It prepares the surface for waxing by creating a clean, smooth, highly-reflective surface. This insures a uniform shine and maximum wax bonding.

Tech Note: Paintwork Cleansing Lotion will not remove paint or clear coat finishes. Likewise, it will not remove swirls. It makes swirls less noticeable or invisible by rounding over the top edge of the swirl, robbing sunlight of a sharp edge to cause a reflection. Micro-fine fillers (1.4 micron) in the lotion then fill in the swirl. When you wax over these fillers, most swirls will disappear. These swirls may re-appear as the wax ages and may be revealed under some light conditions (Fluorescent lamps are ruthless, revealing flaws and swirls that will not show under normal sunlight).

My experience mirrors what the manufacturer claims say. This is a great base for a carnauba wax. I partnered it with Souveran and the results are the best I've gotten as far as look are concerned. This is very easy to use, just slightly more effort than Klasse AIO but a lot less than Meg's 3-step polishes. It's not as smooth to the touch as AIO but it's fillers will make swirls and minor scratches disappear for a little while (AIO will not hide swirls). It will remove minor waterspots. If prepping a car for a show, this polish will help bring out the best in your car. I'll rate it an 8 out of 10.

Pinnacle Crystal Mist Spray Wax

Applicable to: '90 - '97 '99 + 1.6 liter 1.8 liter

Detailing spray to restore shine. Bought as part of Pinnacle Sizzling Shine Kit but available separately for $20.

My car was waxed with Pinnacle Souveran and needed to be revived after a wash. This spray is unbelievably good. Better than others I've used (Meguire's Quik Detailer, Mother's, Armor All paint protectant). Looks like you just put in 2 hrs of work waxing your car. Recommended.

Pinnacle Souveran

[5/12/2003] Reviewed by: Ben Paraan

Applicable to: '90 - '97 '99 + 1.6 liter 1.8 liter

Premium carnauba wax for concours shows, showoffs, display. About $60 for the 8 oz. jar but received as part of Pinnacle Sizzling Shine Kit for $89 (includes shampoo, spray detailer, paintwork lotion, microfiber towels and applicators). Souveran is acclaimed by detailing fanatics as THE wax for black, red and dark colored cars. Purchased from Pinnacle website.

This wax is very easy to apply and wipe off but the initial application requires applying their Paintwork Cleansing Lotion which is like a cleaner or polish. Does not leave marks on rubber. A second coat will further improve the way it looks but must wait at least 12 hrs before 2nd coat. Needless to say I am ecstatic with the results. This is not a wax that will last. Rewaxing will be needed often but the results are worth the effort. Shows how much you love your car.

Very deep gloss and shine. Looks wet "like melting ice". Then watch others as jaws drop in disbelief in how awesome the car looks which affirms that you are not imagining the results. Have a look at: http://miata.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=269082&page=4
Autopia website recommended that Klasse All-In-One be used as a base coat for Souveran. Supposed to be the ultimate shine.
