The product aka alutec on my '99 didn't fit CORRECTLY straight up. It took me a while to figure what was wrong. When I tried to tighten one nut, the others couldn't be tightened. The brace itself was rocking on top of the dome of my stock strut. What I did was put two washers on under each bolted area and tightened it. It lifted the strut by qtr of an inch. Washer can be found in any hardware store.

I suggest the include some washers for the strut. Overall It did help tightened noticeably but not drastically. I took it for a spin after the install and it seems it steering felt a little more sensitive. Wanted the rear strut tower to complement my front struts tower. Well worth the money spent

Aluminum Front Strut Tower Brace, very heavy duty, perhaps to its own detriment, cetainly to mine.

Very nicely made, reasonably priced, looks great. But it will not fit my 1990. Its just too thick to fit under the shock caps. I wish that I had seen the review below telling me that it wouldnt fit before I ordered it. But we were apparently ordering at the same time.

It's a real thing of beauty, but unfortunately, completely useless to me.

All Aluminum Strut Tower Brace

The product is very well made and extremely good looking but does not fit my 1995 miata and I assume other NA Miatas. My friend has an NB Miata and the brace fit well. However the shock caps on the NA would not allow the bracket to be mounted under them and over the mounting screws due to the bracket thickness. Also the unit is not applicable to ABS or cruise control models of any year, even though it is not clearly stated as so in the catalogue.

Great piece if it fits. Ok for NB's without ABS or cruise and that's it.

ties rear shock towers together

I have installed front tower brace, front suspension brace, rear frame brace, and upgraded my sway bar bushings. The only thing left was the rear tower bar.

This product has excellant finish and design, looks great. Installed it is under my trunck carpet and behind the fuel line cover. The spare will not mount with the standard hardware, bace is under that space. I am going to try to get a 75mm stud and wing nut to repace the factory hardware. (Any idea on where to get new fastners that are not OEM?) It seemed to firm up the whole car. The front strut tower brace seemed to tighten up the front, but this bar gives a tighter feel to the whole car. Like things feeling tight.

Front powdercoated red w/o logo strut tower brace.

Very cool. Red too. I got a RB front sway bar w/ the tower brace and KYB shocks.

Now its makes me realize how much my tires suck. With new rims + tires , it'll be really nice. Way more worth it than power upgrades b/c its something you feel everytime you take a turn!!

Aluminium front shock tower brace with Miata name engraved.

Ordered from Moss online which is easy, but they do not send any email confirmations. The product showed up in 4 days though. I purchased the polished one and the finish is very good, and the engraving perfect. There were a few scratches in it, but not bad enough to warrant replacement. There are no instructions included but there is a great write up with photos in the garage section by Jim Chilenski which I used. It was very simple to install on a stock Miata. I took my time to make sure I installed it symetrically and tightly. That's not difficult considering the multiple adjustments on it.

I really bought it for the looks after reading several posts about it not changing the feel of the car. After driving it I am very impressed with the results. At first I thought the newfound smoothness was solely due to having bought something new for my toy. I drove it to work today, (the most "known" path we all endure), and it is incredibly different over the bumps, bad pavement, and uneven pavement. I felt less road shocks and it felt a lot more sturdy. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

moss strut tower brace

sent to my house within four days of ordering over the internet. very straight forward installation, though there were no good directions or torque specs. come to think about it, there were no directions at all. very well constructed. built like a rock-very heavy duty-very happy with the investment!

Despite what anyone says, these braces will get rid of any shakes that are felt while driving over road bumps and the shimmy is gone completely too. my advice...get one now!

Aluminium shock tower brace with black powder coated supports. Looks and finish are 1st rate.

On initial purchase of Shinji (92 V-spec Roadster in BRG) I thought being a convertible a shock tower brace would be a simple way to add further chassis stiffening and slightly improve ride/handling. It is very simple to install simply bolt on to the existing mounting points, no extra bolts are required. I was not expecting any huge improvements with the addition of this simple brace across the suspension towers, but was looking for a decrease in vibrations/shimmy. However, I am disappointed to reveal there is no detectable improvements whatsoever.

Anyone who claims there are benefits must either be hallucinating or making these damn things. Furthermore you can not fit any high-flow air intake systems (ie Racing beat or Jackson) with this product. To anyone considering this product don't waste your time & hard earned cash, other than looking cool in the engine bay these shock tower braces offer zero benefit. If you are looking for greater structural rigidity try the Racing Beat or Moss underbody chassis braces. If anyone wants one, drop me an email on mykl001@yahoo.com bidding starts at 50 bucks.

Polished aluminum or anodized bar with black power coated mounts. Adjustable ends for maximum rigidity.

Installation was very straight forward. Having the correct socket to remove the factory nuts is very helpful, but anyone with average skill can easily install this upgrade.

Mounting brackets allow this strut brace to be used with a Racing Beat High Flow Intake, without the need of their adapter. I looked at many for a long time, finally a brace that mounts easily and eliminated the Racing Beat adapter. Improved ride noticeable right away. I am very happy, thanks Moss!
