Rubber "Roadster" floor mats

I got these mats instead of Coco Mats because a) I thought they looked retro and b) they were inexpensive. I was disappointed from the get go with both the thin nature of the mats and with the fit of the passenger mat. It's cut a bit too big and so buckled when laid into the foot well. It fit a little better if I left the OEM mat in there under it. What is even more disappointing is that the mats have been in the car for only 9 or 10 months and when I took the driver's side mat out today to clean it, there is a 4 inch vertical hole through the mat, right alone one of the ribs. The OEM mat that this rubber mat replaced was 15 years old and still servicable. This Moss mat can't last a year? I should have gone with the Coco Mats.

Spring for a little extra dough and go with Coco Mats or OEM replacements.

Plush carpet floor mats with embroidered "Miata logo". You get 2 in an order.

When I first received the mats, I was delighted as they were indeed plush and looked like good quality material. I replaced my old floor mats and felt that the black mats were a good match to the OEM interior of my 1995 Miata. However, to my surprise, for $50.00, these mats do not have a non-slip backing so after my first drive with them, I noticed that the mat on the driver's side was sliding forward, under the pedals. Not only is this dangerous - it could jam under a pedal - but for $50, a non-slip backing should be absolutely required for a car mat. I will try buying some anti-slip matting that is readily available from HomeDepot or Pier One imports for placing carpets on wood floors or wall2wall carpets so that they don't slip.

Moss Rubber Mats

Moss rubber floor matts for rainy days.

These are basically a 5 minute addition to any Miata. I laid mine in over my 10AE mats to protect them when it rains or snows. They are made from black rubber that have grooves in them for traction and to catch dirty, water, snow, etc... They also have "Miata" molded in them. They were $29.95 from Moss. Definitely worth it in my opinion and they fit perfectly.
