4 Wheel Big Brake Kit

I had to write this follow up, for the brakes made the car shimmy when applied, but I have since changed out all of the bushings in the car and the shimmy is now gone, thus it was probably due to the fact that the brakes stopped the car that much better, and the bushings were all worn out. I have had these brakes on for a few years now, and they have held up well...stopping me from 100 MPH plus many times wihtout fail. They do squeak a bit at slow speeds, but I have heard that they tend to do that when they get older...who knows. Anyhow, I am about to change the pads for the first time front and rear...yup wore out the front and rear at the same time...that is a first, but I have been driving it much harder since I know I will stop faster ;-)

Easy to work on...especially the front...just remove a pin and change the pads...

Goodwin Racing Slotted Big Brake Kit with Wilwood front calipers and stainless steal lines.

Excellent experience. Nice service from Brian Goodwin. He always replies to my e-mails - even on weekends. Had the kit installed at a local race shop for $340.00. The brakes perform flawlessly. No squeals or chatter. Bring the car down from 125 to 60 as my stock did from 60 to 30. Amazing.

I opted for the polished calipers ($170). I suspect they are actually chromed because of the "0" maintenance required. They look as beautiful today as when out of the box. I HIGHLY recommend this kit for any high HP Miata. These brakes were just the ticket to control 260HP.

Goodwn Big Brake Kit with street rotors

I don't really like the slots in the front rotors roo much, for they give a tremendous amount of feedback. However it is gettting better as I put some miles on them. I stop much quicker though, and ya gotta love that. A 100 MPH stop after a couple 100 miles on the kit produced a shorted stop by at least 2-3 car lengths. They kind of feel like cheese graters. I would stick with the solid Race Rotors, they probably feel smoother. I have to say that I like the look, and they really stop ya faster than a chicken on crack. Brian Goodwin gives good technical support, and helped out during my install with phone support when he really didn't have to, for it was Speedmonkee's first kit, and I was the test Mule. Anyway, thanks Brian.

Not hard to put on, if you know what you are doing. I love the look and the weight savings. These stop ya on a dime and give change too.

lightweight brake kit

Not only did the braking improve to porsche/ferrari level, the ride on our stiffly sprung (eibach non-progressive 2" drop in front)95M inproved dramatically. I can't wait to get the rear caliper upgrade when it becomes available, and I am going to put the same brakes on my 96M. The kit itself was complete, but I had it professionally installed since I am not the best mechanic.

Brian and Brad are great to discuss projects with. I spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with Brian trying to decid which wheels, springs and shocks to buy. These guys give honest advice, and have the best price on AGX shocks I have seen. I give my highest reccomendation to these guys.
