Jackson Racing/A.C.T. Stage 1 Clutch

Bottom line, it's a great upgrade from the stock clutch for anyone running N/A modifications all the way through turbo or supercharged cars.

Pedal pressure is just slightly stiffer than the stock unit but the low engagement point does take some getting used too. This clutch can handle a 4K hole shot without a hint of slipping and allow you to catch scratch in second and third. Coupled with a lightweight aluminum flywheel, the difference in acceleration can be remarkable. Manufactured by Advanced Clutch Technologies and purchased from Moss Motors, it came complete with the throwout bearing, pilot bearing, clutch disc, pressure plate and alignment tool.

This is a high performance clutch for use in cars with the need for a better than stock clutch. Turbocharged and Supercharged engines need a clutch like this.

This is an excellent clutch. I replaced a C/F Dual Friction because it was unable to hold the power my BEGI System IV Turbo was producing. I investigated many different clutches and decided that the JR clutch fit my needs best. This clutch has a pedal pressure higher than the stock clutch but not so high that it is hard to drive. I would describe it as a firm pedal. The one thing that took a little getting used too was the low engagement point of the clutch. After a few days of driving it comes as second nature though. This clutch grabs with amazing smoothness. There is no shudder or slipping like some of the other high performance clutches out there. I went from having the clutch slip in 4th gear at 60 MPH to being able to break the tires loose in 3 gears.

I recommend this clutch to anyone needing a better than stock clutch. It also costs less than some of the other clutches on the market. It is a complete package including the throwout bearing, pilot bearing, clutch disc, pressure plate and even the clutch alignment tool. I purchased mine from Tommy at Finish Line Performance. Delivery was prompt and the order was correct.

Installed in August 99', replaced a Max 5 heavy duty clutch. The Max 5 never (from day 1) fully disengaged. Terrible- had installed for 9 months with little improvement. The Max 5 never slipped, but shifting, esp. into reverse was a nightmare. The Jackson Racing is a dream- worth every penny. Fully disengages, smooth shifting.

My Miata has a Sebring Supercharger, MSD ignition accessory, and Tokina Shocks and Springs. JR sway bars, 15 inch rims and NITTO 450 tires. The clutch is important, as stock can't hold the power. Jackson Racing clutch feels like stock, holds firm.

Jackson Racing Kevlar Clutch Assembly for 94+ Miatas. Made and designed for Miatas that have been extensively modified.

Simply Awesome!!! After changing the stock clutch in my 94 Miata, I noticed a considerable amount of change with the Jackson Racing Clutch. Clutch sensitivity is AWESOME, and this allows you to connect gears extremely fast to get the power you need.

A Good BUY and awesome addon for a person who intends to modify his/her stock Miata
