There is a single screw that holds the plastic cover in place.

While you are here you might as well adjust the parking brake!  Turn the adjuster till your brake is engaged at 5-7 clicks.

Take your leather or vinyl and lay it out with the plastic covers.

Sew the seams...make sure you leave some leeway as you'll want to trial fit.

Here's the tough part.  Hem the "neck"...we found sewing in a piece of paper helped if you don't have a leather-grade machine.  Then tear away the paper.  (It's for reducing friction with the plate below.)

Reassemble the covers and slip the new cover on.  You can peel back the carpet if necessary and put it back again without removing the console if you are tricky! ;-)
