waterproof protection for aftermarket door speakers.
Got these from Crutchfield for my new Infinity Kappa's for $8. No-brainer product. Sandwich them between the speaker and the door to install and trim away the excess.
Installed the speakers with and with out these in place - I couldn't perceive any change in frequency response. If anything, the bass is improved slightly. Cheap insurance. Downside? I had to trim a small piece of the speaker cover away since the baffles add another 1/4" to the mounting height of the speakers. There was no interference without the baffle. The piece that had to be trimmed was oversized anyway and only interfered with the speaker frame. No problems with speaker excursion are created with this addition.
