Black powder coated fuel lid from Moss Motors.

This is a follow up to my previous posting about this product. I had let Moss Motors know that I wasn't happy with the fuel lid and they called me to offer to take it back. As I had already refinished the lid to what I thought it should be, I did not want to return it. Moss Motors refunded my money, including shipping, and said to keep the lid. I was quite surprised and impressed at this. They really were concerned that the product was not up to my standards and wanted to make it right. Kudos to Moss Motors.

Polished aluminum fuel lid.

The polished aluminum fuel lid from Moss Motors is verry carefully packed and is well protected in a foam sheet. All instructions were clear and installation, using existing nuts, took only 10 minutes. this product really looks great ! Installation was very, very easy.

I was happy with the product, well made, well finished. Gives a very good look to my Miata. Maybe a little expensive but once you forget the bill, the good looks are a true reward.

Alloy replacement fuel door.

Wife gave it to me for Christmas--which is good, because I NEVER would have spent $100 on this! Gotta say: I'm ashamed to admit that I am impressed. It went on really easily--less than 5 min in the driveway. The machine work and finishing was quite nice. It works very smoothly and has a nice feel to the "hold open" detent. Appears to be clear anodized--not mirror polished--but pretty shiny! Nice stainless hardware.

Like I said--I would not have plunked down the cash for this. There is plenty to do to my car already without adding fluffy things like this. However, it IS a really nice part! My wife thought it was a really cool item and decided it was appropriate auto jewelry. I've got to agree. I especially like the look on my Mariner blue car........ For the Miata-phile with everything.
