Fiberglass cowl induction hood, with louvers
I called Jim Simpson...wanted a one off hood. It was his cowl hood, but I requested louvers.
The hood arrived as ordered. The gel coat was almost ready for paint. It took 10 minutes to finish the prep. No additional, filler was required. After painting the hood looked great ! It fit better than the factory hood it replaced. The car now has a more mascular look...and it runs 10-15 degrees cooler. The 5.0/ supercharged motor likes it ! Great company to do bus. with ! Johnb

Simpson Design Flush Rear Bumper Cover.
The cover arrived at my door after a 3000 mile trip by UPS in only four days. The gelcoat finish was almost paintable and absolutely zero body filler was needed to get it smooth. Toltal prep time was about 30 minutes. Final finishing and wet sanding/polishing was really easy using products from TowerPaint available online. Installation was not difficult and took about an hour and a half. The only thing you give up with this piece is the 2.5mph crashworthiness... if that can be called a crash. I live in an area where all streetside parking is slot-parking so the danger of being bumped is really low. Also, about 10 pounds is lost. The look is great: very clean. It makes the back end look thicker, more substantial..... or beefier, as my fiance puts it.
I would recommend this, or any of Jim Simpson's products for that matter. Quality is tremendous, service is great, and these folks know Miatas inside and out. Every question I posed was answered off-hand.
