This is a product similar to Brainstorm's padded leather armrest in that a "core" door pull is padded and covered with stitched leather. The leather is of good quality, and the stitching matches the stitching on the factory leather seats. Overall, a very "factory" looking upgrade.
I decided to get these to add more leather to my interior. I can't stand big expanses of plastic, so the brake boot cover, armrest and door pulls make a nice matching set. The instructions provided are not very complete. To install these, you must remove the door skins from the doors. Don't forget to remove the screw under the fuzzy sticky piece inside the door pull pocket. This is a good opportunity to add Dynamat or take care of any door issues while you have it taken apart. Once installed, the piece looks quite nice. There is a great satisfaction in grabbing warm leather whenever you close the door. Also smells great when you get into your Miata in the morning... A friend of mine commented that "It smells like an Italian roadster". The inside of the handle is finished a bit sloppy with rough cutting and gluing, but this is not visible once the part is installed. But I would expect better workmanship at this price.
I am happy with the look and feel of this product, but I'm not sure if it's quite worth all the expense. I would really recommend doing the leather brake boot and armrest first. For cars with a black interior, this would be a great opportunity to add some color. I have seen this product in black with red stitching and it looks really great!
