Kits for pre-'99 and '99 & later. Included gauge cluster surround, trim rings for both the vents and door pulls; optional 4-piece door and speaker trim pieces. These kits are made from a thin layer of real Carbon Fiber, real Rosewood, or real Burlwood and are coated with a clear UV protectant that adds richness and depth to the appearance.
All pieces are backed with 3M adhesive. Installation took close to 2 hours, due to the large number of pieces. Duetto's kits are pricey ($300 plus $14 for shipping), but you get either a 22-piece or a 26-piece kit. Not included in the kits are trim rings for the vents on top of the dashboard. Internet order form has 'Special Instructions' box for your car's factory options. The product was shipped as ordered, in less than two weeks. Instructions were not included; you will need to research how others have applied other manufacturers' kits. Pre-clean the areas carefully with alcohol; we purchased cleaner at the hardware store. Dry-fit your pieces several times until comfortable with where the pieces should be placed. The most intimidating part was installation of the gauge cluster surround. Once again, you will need to refer to other Miata how-to's for instructions as to how to go about getting at the gauge cluster. Difficult to remove without leaving damage.
Our 2000 Miata is red with black cloth interior - too much black until we installed the dash kit. Now we have a look akin to the traditional European sportscar.
