These are seat covers that fit over the factory seats without having to remove the existing material. I choose the black with red inserts for my red Miata.
My installation experience was very positive. I have never seen any covers that fit as well as these do. It is a very tight fit, so I removed the seats and took them inside for installation. Getting them on takes a bit of pulling and tugging, but the finished look is well worth it. Total installation took about 2 hours. An added bonus is that they protect the existing seat material. My original seats are cloth, but they would be great for protecting leather seats during the summer. The only minus is that you don't sink down in the seat quite as much with them installed, so you don't feel quite as well supported in fast corners, but the seats are still very comfortable. They have been on for a couple of months with no sign of wear or fading. At $270 a pair, they are expensive but I think they look great and the quality is excellent.
