I bought the kit off of jcwhitney.com. They are generic 7" round H4 conversion kits listed as "offroad use only". I bought the standard 55w/60w bulbs. The brand is "Eagle Eye" although the brand isn't initially listed on the website. I got them for $18 each and this included the halogen H4 bulbs. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/...ZX/appId-384275
The lead crystal lens is a bit flatter than sealed beam models. The reflector is smooth chromed metal. There is a thick rubber boot that caps the back of the light to block moisture. Overall quality is good. The light pattern is great and matches all the images I've seen on the net of Cibies, e-codes and Hella DOT's and IPF's. Light pattern has a sharp cut off horizontally with light going up and to the right. For example: __/__/_ The light output is definitely better than stock. Seems like more light goes further ahead. It is brighter with a much cleaner color and a nice clean cut off that I can see when I go over hills or bumps etc. The high beam pattern puts considerably more light down the road as well. If I got a set of 80w/100w bulbs I'm sure the difference would be even better.
I needed a quick fix for a burnt headlight and I expected to replace these "less expensive" off brands with an IPF or E-code name brand later on. I'm happy with the performance so far, so I'll be keeping these. Hope this helps give someone a less expensive viable option for better lighting. $36 vs $86+
