Provide lights in various colors at the front of the washer nozzle on the hood. Can be wired to work with turn signals or parking lights.
Obtained from MTECPOWER.com on e-Bay auction, though other companies sell similar product. Instructions all in Japanese. Stock nozzles use clips to attach to hood, which are difficult to release without breaking. The lighted nozzles have a threated post which is tightened by a nut from underneath. This "generic" approach doesn't work on Miata, as hood is double walled at nozzle location. Very difficult to thread nut through hole of inner wall to screw onto post. My solution available via e-mail, though I'm not proud of it. Took all day to put on. Once installed, a long-jeaned hottie told me, "Nice car, what are the lights for?" I told her it meant it was turbo-charged and would go 200 miles per hour. Her response was "Cool, can I go for a ride"? So they were worth all the aggravation, time & money spent.
The lights are bright and eye catching. Personally, I think it's a matter of taste. I put these with that talking bass I bought two years ago--fun at first but novelty wears off quickly. My recommendation is to get the chrome--that's what I'm going to do.
Under 30 minutes to remove completely
