Fidanza short shift lever
I got it and when I opened the package I knew that I had made a good choice. I got it off eBay for $60 shipped and I had read somewhere else that its an exact copy of the Mazdaspeed one. I can't vouch for that, but it was ridiculously easy to remove the old one and to install the new one. There are a couple things I had to figure out, such as pulling the old plastic ball base out, putting the spacer in, and putting the base back on top of those two. Once I sat there for a few minutes with the few parts in my hand, it was pretty obvious how it had to go together. I wish that the lever was a little bit shorter, but it is a super short throw. Its also VERY precise when you put it into a gear. No slop what so ever.
I wanted to add that the bushing it comes with (one that goes in to the actual shift mechanism, not the fulcrum ball, broke and I had to use the one that was originally in the car. That one is far more solid, and I would recommend either putting the original one back in, or getting another one from Mazda.
I would most definitely do this mod again and again. I'm pretty sure that anyone who drives the car with this lever is going to want to purchase one for their own vehicle.
Under 30 minutes to remove completely
