Short-shift kit. Includes everything you need to reduce the travel of the shift lever to 1" between positions; about 30% shorter than stock. Unlike some of the other short shifters that simply replace the lever with a shorter one, this kit actually raises the fulcrum of the lever, translating to a shorter shift without a shorter lever. Chrome finish, sells for about $40.
This product took me about 30 minutes to install. I already had the center console disassembled to replace the window switch and install seat heaters. I found that the rubber boot and insulator were both torn and rotten, so I took the opportunity to replace them and the gaiter all at once. The instructions included weren't in English, but it was pretty easy to figure out how the parts fit, and I'm not a mechanic. I re-used the original shift knob, and the gaiter fit nicely over it. What a difference! Shifting is quicker, smoother, and missed shifts are now a thing of the past. It also takes a lot of play out of the gearshift, and I notice less vibration.
I would never be without this part. If you think the factory shifter is great, you'll love this one. Easily measures up to short shifters costing $200 or more.
