NGK Premium spark plugs
I dropped these in to replace my basic NGK plugs, since I was feeling small surges on consistent acceleration. It was only 8 months ago I replaced my plugs, but the amateur at the shop didn't install them correctly (I had a shop do it because I didn't have a torque wrench at the time). After installing these, I did not notice any performance increase, however, the surging is completely gone, and the engine performs much smoother overall! Highly recommended, and adds to my list of NGK product that I support. Great company, great product!

NGK Spark Plugs Iridium IX
The NGK Iridium IX sparkplugs are fantastic. This spark plug has made my Silver Bullet 99 Miata run like a top. I had fouling problems, and these iridium plugs have made the engine fully reliable again. Thank you NGK
Two problems exist in south Florida. High humidity and an unreliable fuel source. This spark plug refuses to foul out. It seems to be tuff as nails.

Ngk Iridium 1X plugs. The best material on the market in terms of heat & harness
100% happy, they last for really 100,000 miles but I change them every 50k
At 50k they look about 90% new! so i'm sure they can and will do 100,000 miles. But I change plug just too feel better!

NGK platinum tipped iridium plugs. $32.95 from mmmiata.com
Amazing Difference. I never would have thought that this could make such a big difference. Not much change at idle, but through the whole torque curve the car is WAY quicker. Even your passengers will know the difference
If you run stock or even just old plugs, upgrade NOW you will not be dissapointed

NGK Platinum
Just switched them out for the Champions that the previous owner had installed.
Haven't driven with them for a long period of time but definitely noticed the difference immediately. Not sure how old the old plugs were but the car has had problems when coming to a stop since I purchased my 99 six months ago. The rpms would dip below 1000 for about 5 seconds at every stop. Now, the problem is gone and I can hardly tell the engine is running at stops because its smooth. Super smooth. Never will skimp on the basics.

NGK V-Power spark plug P/N: ZFR5F-11 (STOCK#2262). This is an "extended reach" plug slightly longer than stock. Price about $3.00 each. Not for turbo/supercharged cars.
I bought these after reading "good threads that were saved" at the end of the FORUM. These plugs are amazing. My car is so eager to run that my standard shift point went up 1000 RPM. And the engine is so buttery smooth. This is the best improvement you can make.
Over the course of a week I upgraded my 100% original stock 1999 with these plugs, a K&N filer and Racing Beat Ultra wires. These plugs were the cheapest mod and clearly the most effective. Thank you Miata Forum!

NGK PZFR5F-11 (4363) This is an extended reach dual platinum (center electrode/ground electrode)premium spark plug. They are not cheap ,expect to pay $11 to $22 each.
I changed from Bosch +4`s to the NGK`s .There was nothing wrong with the +4`s I just wanted to try the extended reach plug as I heard some good things about them and I went with the platinum as I didn`t want to be changing plugs as often as the D.I.S. ignition requires for optimum performance. The plugs seem to run a little rougher on idle compaired to the +4`s but seem to produce better accelleration and seems to produce a louder exhaust note.I know it sounds crazy but even my wife noticed it.
I only have a few hundred miles on these but I think if this performance lasts it will be well worth the $50 bucks I spent. Bill

Replacement spark plugs - 1 range cooler
I have a 1.8l with a JR supercharger. Tried a few other brands of spark plugs and always had some problems. Either misfires or hesitation. I finally installed some NGK spark plugs. As recommended from other miataforum members, I got 1 range cooler. Everything is now working great.

NGK Replacement spark plug wires.
The previous reviews say it well, but I have to reiterate: If you own a Miata with the OEM (black) spark plug wires, please do yourself a favor and replace them NOW. The only mechanical difficulty I've had with my '97 STO Edition came with approximately 18,000 miles on the clock. Sudden power loss, unbelievably hesitant idle, and an inability to start were the symptoms I had. Apparently this is fairly common, and I'm left wondering how Mazda could have sold the cherry M1 with such an obviously weak link in the engine bay. The NGK's were supplied under warranty, and it's been trouble free, miles o' smiles driving ever since. A simple, cheap, and necessary mod.

NGK Premium Blue Spark Plug Wires
Very pleased.
My '96 was developing all the usual symptoms that could be expectd after 32K miles with original wires (hesitation under acceleration, slight power loss, slight stumbling at idle). New NGKs fixed everything up immediately. Improved throttle response, smoother idle, and a bit quicker seat-of-the-pants feel. I agree with the previous reviewer, they are a bit long (even on the 1.8) but the blue color looks really tough in contrast to my red engine bay. If you already have decent wires, these probably aren't going to do much for you. But if you've still got the ugly black wires that your Miata came from the dealer with (like I did) then I recommend you get them TODAY.

Premium replacement wire set
My 93 C developed the mysterious misfiring and stumbling that others seem to have. The car only has 23,000, and I was unsure of the problem. I tried after market wires, but none were cut to size.
These new wires immediately cleared up my rough running engine. The advice in MCA magazine says to plan on replacing the stock wires at 25,000. The new NGKs are close to size, and are supposred to be made to model-specific sizes. I find them to be a little too long on the 1.6L engine. The blue color looks good on my polished cam cover.
