Luggage rack from Classic Carrier fitted to the trunk (boot) lid. Available in black and Chrome. Review is based on M2 chrome rack.
A fairly simple installation complicated by the poor instructions provided, because of this the first install took about two hours. Fit and finish is outstanding once installed and since the rack is held in place by two heavy front-to-back straps slippage is not an issue. Don’t forget to wash and wax prior to installation of the rack. Don't bother with the leather straps unless you plan to carry luggage all the time since they are time consuming to install and remove. Just pick up some inexpensive nylon straps with padded clips at a local auto parts store.
Several accessories are available to increase this racks usefulness including bike mounts (2 max), ski, and snowboard attachments. Removal takes less than five minutes and reinstallation takes around ten minutes. Carrying capacity of the rack is 75lbs (US) or 35Kg.
