Replaces drain plug with a drain valve
Excellent, makes oil changes so much easier, no more fiddling with drain plugs. Valve has a locking pin and mine seated so that the handle was up in the notch for the drain plug in the oil pan, still accessible but secure.
There is an adapter you can buy when you install the valve, it moves the valve about 3/4" from the oil pan, I felt that this was a little too much for my comfort so I used the factory crush washer and shaved a small amount from the top of the device near the valve handle to clear the oil pan. It seated perfectly and I haven't had any clearence issues what so ever. Excellent product.
