A control module for your power windows that allows single touch up and down operation and can even be hooked to your alarm to automaticlly raise the windows when you set the alarm. I did not do this as my alarm is radar & I set it with the top down.
The kit contains the control unit, all the wiring, all the splice connectors plus 2 extra window switches. The extra window switches confused me until I got in to the install. There are 2 sets of instructions- 1 for an M1 amd 1 for an M2. I was a little apperhensive as these are bare bones instructions. So I went to my M2 service manual & chased out the circuits & the colors to be sure they were right & they are. After you remove the shift knob & the console, it is a straight forward cut & splice install and it took me about 2 hours the complete. I ran into trouble with the green/red stripe and the red/green stripe wires. I reversed them the first time thru and it didn't work. Once I chased all the connections again I found the mistake & hooked everything up as it is supposed to be. I turned on the ignition & held the buttons for about 1/2 a second & up they went, touched it again & down they went. Pretty cool.
The extra window switches are just that, extra. The unit can be used by vertually all cars with power windows so I guess the switches could be used in those applications. All in all a pretty easy and neat install and in my opinion worth it.
Over 30 minutes to remove completely
