An alarm system that is specifically designed for 2001+ Miata's, with factory keyless entry, that gives complete coverage, and requires NO drilling or soldering. Most anyone with AVERAGE mechanical/electrical skills can install this system in a few hours, with simple tools.
Once installed, you car has the following protection, when the alarm is set. Opening the hood, trunk, or either door, will sound the alarm and flash the parking lights. An adjustable shock sensor will sound the alarm and flash the parking lights, if you car is bumped, or hit. A microwave sensor, mounted in the interior, protects that area, even with the top down, by detecting MASS, not vibration or wind. The sensor can be adjusted so that if anyone puts their hand in the interior, the alarm will sound and the parking lights flash. A "starter kill" relay, is energized at all times when the alarm is set.
Besides of being the ONLY alarm for a Miata, that I know of, that uses your existing remote, if you inadvertently hit "unlock", on the remote, when the system is armed, the system will automatically arm again, after 30 seconds, if a door isn't opened. There is also a valet mode built into the system. The alarm kit comes with complete, detailed instructions and color photographs. ANY questions concerning installation, are quickly resolved via e-mail to Wolf. Shipping of the kit took 3 days! Simply put, this is one of the BEST alarms for your Miata, for the price and features!

Wolf Miata Alarm System with Shock Sensor and Radar Mass Dectector
Rating 8.5 out of 10. About 12 hours to install all components. Recommend! Customer Service, and shipping time were excellent, considering that this comes from the UK.
Alarm System This is made by Omega Research and Development the K-9 Classic and customized by Wolf Miata for the Miata. Basically all of this is Plug N Play. A jumper plug that goes between the ignition switch and the factory ignition wiring provides the alarm power and the vehicle ignition/starter interrupt in the event of alarm activation. Diodes protect the turn signal circuit from sending power backwards to the alarm. These diodes do get a little warm, so care should be taken in how they are tied up. The alarm unit is designed to be mounted under the dashboard. I found locations to mount the Power Door Lock Relay and the Trunk Release Relay on two studs on the firewall. The alarm unit ended up tie wrapped to the Steering column. The two stage Shock Sensor is also tie wrapped to the Steering Column. The Radar Mass Sensor is placed under the center console in the area of the Power Window switches. The siren is mounted under the hood, but could be! mounted anywhere.
