Moss wooden hand brake handle

This is a nice looking wood handle.

The product comes with no instructions. It's best to remove the plastic handle with a box cutter type knife...Moss tech help said it would slip off. It wont! The fit is extremely tight and required a mallet to install it. The grip split in half half way through the instillation.

The price is a fraction of the cost of the mazda product but doesn't fit. I ended up having to by the OEM for $70 vs $30. The mazda product came with instructions and adhesive. It cost much more but fits perfectly and looks great. You get what you pay for.

Moss Wood Handbrake Handle

Stained rosewood handbrake lever handle to replace stock handle. The wood grain and stain color closely match (though no perfectly) the OEM Nardi wood shift knob and Moss' wood steering wheels. Thick gloss coat protects finish.

For about $15 from Moss, I'm very pleased with this product. I wasn't sure whether to try this one or spend the money (closer to $80!) on the Mazda OEM version. The Moss handle is solid wood and has nicely sculpted finger notches and a thick gloss coat to protect the wood. It compliments the other wood accents in my Miata and along with a chrome brake button from Finish Line Performance, really dresses up the interior. Installation was simple, but took some wrestling to get the handle on. My old handle came right off with no problems, but the new handle is a very tight fit. I managed to get it on without a mallet, but just barely!

Looks better than I expected with the stock plastic brake boot. I still plan to get a leather brake boot eventually, but in the mean time the plastic boot doesn't clash with the wood at all. Handle feels great and looks perfect with a wood shifter and wood-accented wheel. I tend to rest my hand on the brake handle when not shifting, and this item makes a wonderful "hand rest" upgrade for a very low price.

Moss Billet Ebrake Handle with Black Miata script

First thing I noticed was the solidity. The hole machined down the center was smooth inside. Directions came with the handle as well as a small bottle of 3m black trim adhesive. I followed the directions that said to twist and pull and the oem handle will come right off. Sure enough it did. I pushed and twisted on the Moss handle. Very nice tight fit. Enough so that I didn't feel the need to use the supplied adhesive.

Very nice looking and well constructed product that can be installed in under 2 minutes.
